First seen Jan 31, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study tested whether a triple-headed toothbrush or a regular single-headed toothbrush is better at removing dental plaque in preschool children (ages 3-6) with developmental disabilities. Parents brushed their children's teeth with both types of brushes in a random order, and researchers measured plaque before and after brushing. The goal was to find which brush helps parents clean their child's teeth more effectively and to see how satisfied parents were with the triple-headed brush.
