First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests an online program called Lupis for parents of 1st and 2nd graders. The program uses stories and video chats to teach parents how to help their children develop self-regulation skills, like goal-setting and managing emotions. Researchers will measure changes in parental involvement and children's self-regulation. The goal is to see if this approach can support children's academic success and well-being.
What this could mean

Active substance
Lupis program (narrative-based behavioral intervention)
What this could lead to
If successful, this could provide a practical, at-home tool for parents to help their children develop self-regulation skills, potentially improving academic performance and well-being.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage study (150 participants) testing a behavioral program, not a medical treatment. Results may not apply to all families, and the program's effectiveness is uncertain.
