Special scan offered to pinpoint troubling neck gland
NCT ID NCT07218224
Summary
This program provides expanded access to a specific type of PET scan for patients at UCSF. The scan uses a tracer called 18F-fluorocholine to help doctors find and locate parathyroid adenomas, which are small, overactive glands in the neck. It is for patients aged 13 and older who have been diagnosed with primary hyperparathyroidism. The program itself is not designed to measure health outcomes from the scan.
