First seen Apr 14, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study tested whether a parasternal nerve block, given before open-heart surgery, could help control heart rate and blood pressure during the procedure, reducing the need for high doses of anesthetic drugs. The trial involved 35 adults undergoing coronary artery bypass grafting. The goal was to see if this nerve block could make the surgery safer and more stable.
