Withdrawn study sought to track sex offender medication outcomes

NCT ID NCT04316650

Summary

This study aimed to follow men with paraphilia who had committed a sex offense, tracking them for three years to see how well their medications worked over time and what side effects they experienced. It planned to compare two common types of drugs (SSRI antidepressants and anti-androgen hormone treatments) against no medication. The goal was to gather better long-term data to guide treatment decisions, but the study was withdrawn before any participants were enrolled.
