Robot surgeon takes on gut polyps in new clinical trial

Summary

This study is testing a new robotic tool to remove non-cancerous growths (polyps or adenomas) from the rectum and lower colon. About 56 adults will have the procedure, and doctors will check how often the growth is removed in one piece and if there are any serious complications like bleeding or a hole in the gut. The goal is to see if the robotic system is a safe and effective alternative to standard surgery.
