First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study looked at whether a full or half dose of the medicine pantoprazole could keep the esophagus healed in children aged 1 to 17 who had healed from a type of severe heartburn called erosive esophagitis. The study planned to follow 43 children for 24 weeks, but it was stopped early. The goal was to see which dose worked better and was safe for long-term use.
