First seen Mar 21, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study looks at whether placing a small tube (stent) in the pancreas can lower the chance of pancreatitis after a difficult bile duct procedure. About 268 adults needing ERCP will be randomly assigned to get a stent or not. The main goal is to see if the stent reduces post-procedure pancreatitis rates.
