Light therapy takes aim at tough pancreatic tumors
NCT ID NCT05919238
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This early-stage trial tests a new treatment for people with advanced pancreatic cancer that cannot be removed by surgery. The therapy uses a light-sensitive drug and a special light delivered through a thin tube into the blood vessels feeding the tumor. The goal is to see if it is safe and can shrink the cancer, possibly making it operable. About 30 adults with stage III pancreatic cancer will take part.
