Summary
This completed Phase 3 trial tested whether adding paclitaxel to gemcitabine helps people with advanced pancreatic cancer live longer compared to gemcitabine alone. The study involved 211 patients whose cancer had spread and didn't respond to their initial chemotherapy. Researchers compared survival rates between the two treatment approaches to find better options when first-line treatments stop working.
