Pancakes may help kids outgrow egg allergy with fewer risks
NCT ID NCT07192510
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study tested whether eating pancakes daily can help children with egg allergy safely tolerate eggs. Pancakes are less allergenic than cooked egg but more allergenic than baked egg, potentially offering a middle ground for building tolerance. 23 children participated, and the goal was to see if they could eat a full serving of cooked egg without a reaction. The approach aims to reduce severe allergic reactions while improving compliance compared to other egg-based therapies.
