Eye test vs. X-Ray: which wins for palate shape?
NCT ID NCT07363200
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study compares a quick visual check of the roof of the mouth (palate) with measurements from a 3D X-ray (CBCT) to see if the simple exam is accurate enough. About 50 adults who already have a CBCT scan will have their palate shape classified by two examiners looking at photos. The goal is to find out if the visual method can reliably replace the more expensive and radiation-heavy scan.
