NCT ID NCT07493824

First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study is testing whether a liquid called Paiteling, applied directly to the cervix, can clear persistent high-risk HPV infections. The trial will enroll 115 women aged 25 to 65 who have had the same high-risk HPV type for at least two years. Researchers will check if the virus becomes undetectable 12 months after treatment.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance

Paiteling Antibacterial Liquid (applied locally to the cervix)

What this could lead to

If it works, this could offer a new topical treatment to help clear persistent high-risk HPV infections, potentially reducing cervical cancer risk.

What could go wrong

This is a single-arm, phase 4 study with no placebo group, so results may be less reliable. The treatment is applied locally and may not work for everyone; long-term safety and effectiveness are still being evaluated.
