Summary
This study tests whether inhaling argon gas during and after carotid artery surgery can prevent brain damage and thinking problems. About 100 adults having elective carotid surgery will receive either argon or a placebo gas. The goal is to see if argon reduces confusion after surgery and protects long-term brain health.
