New pill aims to ease burning nerve pain in diabetes patients

Summary
This study tested whether a daily pill called NRD135S.E1 can safely reduce nerve pain in people with diabetes. About 127 adults with painful diabetic neuropathy took the drug or a placebo for 13 weeks. The main goal was to see if the drug lowers average daily pain better than a placebo, while checking for side effects.
