Scientists probe the link between nerve tests and heightened pain in wrist condition
NCT ID NCT06043141
Summary
This study aimed to understand the connection between increased pain sensitivity and standard medical tests in people with carpal tunnel syndrome. Researchers observed 60 diagnosed patients, measuring their pain sensitivity and comparing it to results from ultrasound scans and nerve conduction studies. The goal was to see if these common tests could help identify patients whose nervous systems have become overly sensitive to pain.
