First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study tested two ways of numbing the shoulder area after arthroscopic shoulder surgery. One group received a single injection of anesthetic, while the other got a continuous drip through a small tube. The goal was to see which method better reduced pain and the need for strong painkillers. 90 adults took part, and researchers measured pain scores and opioid use for 24 hours after surgery.
