Can a simple painkiller before surgery cut opioid use?

NCT ID NCT07337629

Summary

This study aims to see if giving a single dose of common painkillers like paracetamol (acetaminophen) or ibuprofen before nose surgery can reduce the amount of strong opioid pain medication needed during and after the operation. It will involve 54 adults undergoing elective septorhinoplasty. Researchers will measure total opioid use, pain scores, and patient recovery quality to find the best approach for managing surgical pain.
