Looking back at pain relief methods for Babies' first surgeries

NCT ID NCT06067854

Summary

This study looked back at medical records to understand how much pain medication newborns needed after cleft lip repair surgery. Researchers compared two groups: babies who received regional anesthesia (nerve blocks) during surgery and those who didn't. The goal was to see if regional anesthesia reduced the need for opioid pain medications and helped babies recover faster.
