New pain block study aims to cut opioid use after liver surgery

Summary

This study compares two types of nerve blocks (retrolaminar block vs. subcostal TAP block) to see which provides better pain relief after open liver cancer surgery. About 90 adults with mild to moderate health risks will take part. The goal is to reduce the need for strong painkillers and improve recovery.
