New painkiller cocktail could extend relief after knee surgery

Summary

This study tests whether adding dexmedetomidine to a standard spinal anesthetic (bupivacaine) can provide longer pain relief after knee surgery. About 120 men will receive different doses to find the safest and most effective combination. The goal is to reduce the need for additional pain medication after the procedure.
