First seen Feb 22, 2026 · Last updated Jun 15, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study tests whether a special nerve block (SPSIPB) can help control pain and reduce the need for strong painkillers after minimally invasive heart surgery. Sixty adults having heart bypass surgery will be randomly assigned to receive either the nerve block plus standard pain care or standard care alone. Researchers will measure how much pain medication patients need and how well they recover.
