First seen Feb 15, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study tests two methods of giving a numbing medicine (bupivacaine) during gallbladder removal surgery. One method puts the medicine inside the belly, the other under the skin near the cuts. The goal is to see which approach controls pain better and reduces the need for extra painkillers. The study will include 100 adults who are in good health (ASA I or II) and excludes people with allergies to the medicine, chronic pain, or prior abdominal surgery.
