Gallbladder surgery pain: which drug works best?
NCT ID NCT07312877
Summary
This study compared two different pain medications given to patients during gallbladder removal surgery. Researchers wanted to see if one drug (lidocaine) could control pain after surgery as well as another (remifentanil), while possibly helping patients recover faster and need fewer strong painkillers. The study involved 138 adults having planned, minimally invasive gallbladder surgery.
