Summary

This study compared two types of pain blocks for women having open fibroid surgery. One used a long-lasting form of numbing medicine, the other a standard form. The goal was to see which one reduced the need for strong painkillers. 140 women took part, and researchers tracked how much pain medicine they used after surgery.
