First seen Jan 12, 2026 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study tests whether a special nerve block (erector spinae plane catheter) can improve pain relief and breathing in people with chest injuries from trauma. About 40 adults with broken ribs and trouble breathing will receive either standard pain medicine or the nerve block plus standard medicine. The goal is to see if the nerve block helps them breathe deeper and avoid lung complications.
