Better pain relief found by mixing two common anesthetics

NCT ID NCT07469826

Summary

This study tested whether adding tramadol to bupivacaine (a common numbing medicine) provides better pain relief after minor surgery. Researchers compared the two approaches in 100 adults having procedures under local anesthesia. Patients who received the combination reported less pain, especially 24 hours after surgery, than those receiving bupivacaine alone.
