Magnetic device may unlock secrets of chronic pain relief

NCT ID NCT07199361

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 09, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study looks at how a non-invasive magnetic device (pTMS) helps relieve chronic pain after surgery or injury. Fifty adults with long-term pain will receive four days of treatment. Researchers will measure pain sensitivity and analyze blood samples to understand how the body's natural pain-relief signals change. The goal is to improve future pain management, not to cure the condition.
