Nerve block trial offers hope for stroke Survivors' debilitating pain

NCT ID NCT07129811

Summary

This study is testing if adding a specific nerve block (stellate ganglion block) to standard physical therapy can better reduce pain and improve arm movement and quality of life in stroke patients who develop complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS). It will involve 32 patients, with half receiving the nerve block plus therapy and half receiving therapy alone. Researchers will measure changes in pain, arm function, and daily life over 12 weeks.
