New inhaler could ease IUD pain for thousands

Summary
This study tests if a short-acting inhaled painkiller called methoxyflurane can reduce pain and anxiety during IUD insertion. About 110 people with a uterus, aged 18-55, will receive either the drug or a placebo. The goal is to improve patient comfort and satisfaction during this common procedure.
