First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 29, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study tests whether using calming words (verbal analgesia) can reduce pain during copper IUD insertion in women who have only had C-sections and no vaginal deliveries. About 88 women will be randomly assigned to receive either verbal reassurance or standard care. The goal is to make IUD insertion less painful and improve the experience for this specific group.
