NCT ID NCT06767215
Summary
This study tested if applying an ice pack to the neck for five minutes before a Botox injection could reduce pain for people with spasmodic dysphonia, a chronic voice disorder. The main treatment for this condition is Botox injections in the throat every few months, which can be painful. Researchers compared pain levels in 116 patients who received their usual injection with and without the ice pack beforehand.
