Nerve blocks battle to ease Post-Surgery pain
NCT ID NCT06798103
Summary
This study compared two different nerve-block techniques to see which one better controls pain for 24 hours after weight loss surgery. Thirty adults undergoing laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy received either an erector spinae plane block or a thoracic paravertebral block. Researchers measured pain levels and how soon patients needed additional pain medication to determine which method provided more effective relief and faster recovery.
