Study tests which nerve block works better for thigh surgery pain

NCT ID NCT07280182

Summary

This study compared two different nerve-blocking techniques for pain relief after thigh lift surgery. Researchers tested whether a newer method (transmuscular quadratus lumborum block) works as well as a standard method (lumbar plexus block) for controlling pain after surgery. The study involved 42 patients and measured pain levels, need for pain medication, and recovery milestones like walking ability.
