New study seeks best dose of pain block for sleeve gastrectomy patients

Summary

This study compares three different volumes of a nerve block called M-TAPA to see which provides the best pain relief after laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy. Sixty adults aged 20 to 60 undergoing this weight-loss surgery will receive one of the three volumes. The goal is to reduce opioid use and speed up recovery by finding the most effective dose.
