New approach aims to cut Post-Surgery pain and opioid use

NCT ID NCT07434232

Summary

This study aims to find a better way to manage pain after breast cancer surgery (mastectomy). Researchers will test if adding magnesium sulfate to two different types of numbing injections (nerve blocks) helps reduce pain and the need for strong opioid painkillers in the first day after surgery. The study will involve 100 female patients and directly compare the effectiveness of the two injection techniques.
