First seen May 13, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study looked at two different methods to control pain after lumbar (lower back) surgery: a local anesthetic injection near the incision and an ESP block (an injection near the spine). The goal was to see which one helps patients recover better and feel less pain in the first 24 hours. 80 adults having elective lumbar surgery took part. The results will help doctors choose the best pain relief option for future patients.
