First seen Jan 28, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study compares two types of nerve blocks (external oblique intercostal plane block and erector spinae block) to see which provides better pain relief after liver surgery in cancer patients. About 52 adults will receive one of the two blocks, and their pain scores and need for extra pain medicine will be tracked for 24 hours after surgery. The goal is to find a safer, more effective way to manage post-surgery pain.
