New nerve block challenge: can it beat standard pain relief after hysterectomy?
NCT ID NCT06853782
Summary
This study compared two methods of pain relief for women having abdominal hysterectomy surgery. Researchers tested a standard nerve block (TAP) against a newer one (TFP) to see which better reduced pain and the need for opioid painkillers after surgery. They measured pain levels during movement and tracked medication use in 77 patients to determine which approach provided more effective comfort.
