First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 10, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study tested two ways to manage pain after total hip replacement: a new ultrasound-guided nerve block (QLESP) versus standard local anesthetic injections around the joint (PAI). 68 adults aged 18-65 took part. The goal was to see which method reduces the need for opioid painkillers and improves recovery. Results will help doctors choose the safest and most effective pain control option.
