New nerve block combo may ease Post-Surgery pain
NCT ID NCT07299760
Summary
This study tested whether adding a second type of nerve block improves pain control after heart bypass surgery. Researchers compared two approaches in 72 adults undergoing elective surgery: one standard nerve block versus that same block plus an additional one. The goal was to see if the combination reduces pain scores and opioid medication needs during the first 24 hours after surgery.
