New injection aims to slash painkiller need after tough C-Sections

NCT ID NCT06925152

Summary

This study is testing if a special nerve-block injection given during surgery can reduce the need for strong opioid painkillers after a complicated cesarean delivery. It will involve 120 people who have had previous abdominal surgeries or complex deliveries. The main goal is to see if the injection lowers the total amount of pain medication patients request in the first two days after their operation.
