Spinal injection vs. nerve block: which eases surgery pain better?

NCT ID NCT07126483

Summary

This study compared two pain control techniques for patients having minimally invasive chest surgery. Researchers tested whether a small dose of morphine injected into the spinal fluid works as well as a numbing injection near the spine at reducing pain medicine needs in the first day after surgery. The trial involved 70 patients who were randomly assigned to receive one of the two methods before their operation.
