New combo nerve block aims to tame agony of chest surgery
NCT ID NCT06685445
Summary
This study tested two methods of pain control for patients recovering from major chest surgery (thoracotomy). Researchers compared a standard nerve block to a combination of two different nerve blocks. The goal was to see if the combination provided better pain relief, especially around the surgical drain area, over the first three days after surgery.
