New approach to ease pain after C-Section shows promise

NCT ID NCT06823180

Summary

This study tested whether giving a pain medication called hydromorphone into the epidural space before surgery could better control pain after a cesarean section. Researchers compared a low dose, a high dose, and a placebo (saltwater) in 105 women. They measured pain levels, recovery times, and side effects to find the best dose for helping new mothers recover more comfortably.
