Summary
This study compared two different nerve-blocking techniques to see which one better manages pain after lower back surgery. It involved 111 adults undergoing spinal surgery. Researchers tested an ultrasound-guided caudal block against a quadratus lumborum plane block, measuring how long each method provided pain relief before patients needed additional medication.
