NCT ID NCT07534969
First seen Apr 19, 2026 ยท Last updated Apr 19, 2026
Summary
This study looked at which pain management method works better for women in the first day after a vacuum-assisted vaginal birth: taking pain medication on a fixed schedule every 8 hours, or taking it only when they felt they needed it. Researchers enrolled 51 women who had this type of delivery and randomly assigned them to one of the two approaches. They measured pain levels, medication use, and other outcomes like breastfeeding success and overall satisfaction to see which method provided better comfort and recovery.
