New study aims to reduce opioid use after breast cancer surgery

Summary

This study compares two types of nerve blocks to see which one provides better pain relief and reduces the need for strong painkillers after breast-conserving surgery. Seventy adults having breast cancer surgery will receive one of two ultrasound-guided injections before surgery. The goal is to find a more effective way to manage pain and limit opioid use.
