Better pain control found for liver cancer patients after treatment

NCT ID NCT07315022

Summary

This study looked back at medical records of 129 patients with intermediate-to-advanced liver cancer who underwent a common treatment called TACE. Researchers compared two different approaches to managing pain after the procedure: one group received a planned combination of pain medications, while the other received pain medications only when they asked for them. The goal was to see which method provided better pain relief, fewer side effects, and higher patient satisfaction.
