First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study looks at whether adding Pain Neuroscience Education (PNE) to standard physiotherapy helps people with chronic jaw joint disorders (TMD) more than physiotherapy alone. About 36 adults with jaw pain lasting at least six months will be randomly assigned to either physiotherapy only or physiotherapy plus PNE. The goal is to see if the combined approach leads to less pain, better function, and improved well-being.
